 I was really struggling to find the perfect dress; I cannot believe how something I enjoyed had almost became a chore. I went from shop to shop to find my perfect dress; the most important dress I was ever going to buy and nothing jumped out at me. I started to lose interested very quickly and thought I was going to have to get married in a pair of jeans.
I had already chosen my black prom bridesmaid dresses from LK Bennett so, I had to find a wedding dress to go with them. The reason I picked the bridesmaid dresses first was because I had seen it on the model at work and it was beautiful. It would not have been special enough for a wedding dress, so I thought it would be fantastic for the bridesmaids as it was going to be an evening wedding.
I brought many wedding magazines and saw a dress from Kosibah Creations where the skirt was made of cream feathers and had a burgundy top. Although it looked very beautiful, I still wanted a black and cream dress. I called Kosibah Creations and spoke to Yemi, the designer, and asked if the top came in black too.
He told me I could have what ever I wanted, as he made the dress from scratch - this was sounding good. He asked what size I was and I panicked, as he probably was used to working on a slim size 10. When I told him I was a size 12 - he said - OH I LOVE WORKING ON CURVIER WOMAN. I knew then I was going to love this guy!!!!
We have become good friends and have even put a photo shoot together, by organizing the venue, models and Yemi's amazing creations. Every person I have taken to the fitting can not believe how this dress accentuates my hourglass figure - I call it my miracle dress!!!
Yemi has helped me choose everything from my headdress, shoes, choker and flowers, where he has achieved the total perfect look.
